Did you know that telescopes were originally sold as toys before they became great utilities as scientific instruments?

Actually I thought it was the other way around. I had one as a kid and somehow it got lost, I went and replaced it a few years ago and that one was lost again too. Guess what I am still shopping for now?

I have a telescope at my house. It is technically my brothers from when he was obsessed with space at a young age. Its not greatly powerful but we did have some fun with it. We used to pretend that we were discovering new planets.
